Salary: 60-75k/month; full-time; On-sitePosition Summary:The Scholarships Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our scholarship programs, ensuring their effective implementation and impact. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional with a strong background in the development sector, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for expanding educational opportunities. The Manager will be responsible for the entire scholarship lifecycle, from outreach and application processing to selection, monitoring, and evaluation.Responsibilities:
- Scholarship Program Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for scholarship outreach, application processing, selection, and monitoring.
- Manage the entire scholarship lifecycle, ensuring adherence to program guidelines and timelines.
- Design and implement efficient application and selection processes.
- Manage scholarship budgets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to promote scholarship opportunities in assigned geographical regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct outreach events and presentations to prospective applicants.
- Significant travel to assigned regions for outreach and program implementation.
- Application Processing and Selection:
- Oversee the application review and selection process, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Manage large volumes of applications and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with selection committees and facilitate the evaluation process.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of scholarship programs.
- Track scholar progress and provide support as needed.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Data entry and manipulation within MS excel/spreadsheets.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases of scholarship applicants and recipients.
- Generate regular reports on scholarship program activities and outcomes.
- Utilize data to inform program decisions and improve efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of program staff, providing guidance and support.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team collaboration.
- People management skills.
- Event Management:
- Organize and execute events related to the scholarship program.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of professional experience in the development sector.
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a reputed institution.
- Advanced project management skills, with proven experience managing large teams.
- Strong event management and execution skills.
- Advanced analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- High learnability and the ability to quickly grasp new domains and specifics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Advanced MS excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Advanced language proficiency in English and Hindi, and fluency in at least one of the following regional languages: Urdu, Kannada, Telugu, or Odia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Good people management skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned geographical regions.
- Ability to get into details, specifics of new domains/geogprahies.
