Job description: Okay Logistics Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Driver Management professional to oversee the recruitment, management, and performance of our fleet of drivers. This crucial role involves ensuring efficient operations, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering a positive and productive driver team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing drivers in the transportation industry, particularly with 32 FT MXL and SXL container transport across PAN India routes. This is not a lane-specific role requiring flexibility and adaptability to diverse logistical needs. The position demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle the day-to-day challenges of fleet management in a dynamic environment. Prior experience with driver recruitment and performance management is essential.Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers, ensuring they meet company standards and possess the necessary licenses and certifications.
- Manage driver schedules, routes, and assignments to optimize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Monitor driver performance, including adherence to safety regulations, on-time delivery rates, and fuel efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with drivers, providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues.
- Handle driver-related issues, including disciplinary actions, complaints, and accident investigations.
- Maintain accurate driver records, including licenses, certifications, and performance data.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Manage and track vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics or transportation management.
- 5-8 years of experience in driver management within the trucking industry.
- Proven experience managing drivers operating 32 FT MXL and SXL containers.
- Comprehensive understanding of Indian transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems and route optimization software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid Driver’s License (preferred, but not mandatory)
Expected salary: Rs.20000 – 30000 per month
