JobType: full-timeRequirementsAbout the Role:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Consultant – Radiologist with a specialization in Ultrasound Imaging to join our diagnostic services team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified MD Radiodiagnosis professional looking to build a successful career in radiology at a reputed healthcare institution. The candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting ultrasound scans across a range of clinical cases and collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.Key Responsibilities:Ultrasound Imaging & Interpretation:

  • Conduct high-quality ultrasound scans including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, musculoskeletal, thyroid, and soft tissue studies.
  • Accurately interpret imaging findings and generate detailed reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures while maintaining high diagnostic standards.
  • Communicate findings effectively to referring physicians and assist in clinical decision-making.

Patient Care & Communication:

  • Engage with patients empathetically, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns prior to and during the ultrasound examination.
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols (where applicable), hygiene standards, and ethical practices.
  • Maintain professional decorum and patient confidentiality in all aspects of radiological practice.

Collaboration & Learning:

  • Collaborate with senior radiologists, technologists, and other clinical teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings, and reporting rounds.
  • Maintain proper documentation and archiving of radiological records.

Technology & Equipment Handling:

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and related systems with care and technical proficiency.
  • Assist in the calibration and upkeep of machines and report any malfunctions promptly.

Continuous Education & Development:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in ultrasound imaging techniques and radiology best practices.
  • Attend internal training programs, radiology conferences, and continued medical education (CME) sessions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • MD in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized medical institution.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging are encouraged to apply.
  • Sound knowledge of human anatomy and clinical correlations related to radiology.
  • Basic proficiency in operating ultrasound machines and using reporting software.
  • Good communication skills and a compassionate approach toward patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Demonstrated interest in advancing radiology skills through hands-on practice and learning.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems and digital documentation.

Expected salary: Rs.200000 – 1800000 per year
